The Gift of Health is Priceless

He who enjoys good health is rich, though he knows it not.
~ Italian Proverb ~

Good health is a gift that everyone should enjoy. Unfortunately, more than 150,000 new cases of colorectal cancer are diagnosed each year. Another 30,000 people will learn that they have Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men and women. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis can lead to significant disability in both young and old.

That's why researchers at the University of Louisville Digestive Surgery Research Laboratory are searching for clues that may one day lead to prevention, improved treatments or cures for these devastating diseases.
