Wendy Kaiser, RN, Research Coordinator

Wendy Kaiser, RN, joined the Section in 2002 as a research coordinator. She has more than a decade of nursing experience that includes a year as a flight nurse with Federal Air Ambulance.

A 1993 graduate of the University of Evansville, Kaiser worked in the intensive care units at U of L and Norton Hospital. Her brother-in-law's battle with Crohn's disease inspired her to care for patients with colorectal disorders.

"He's doing well on medication now, but I know how terrible this disease can be. Conventional treatments do not always work for many patients. I feel good knowing I may have something to offer them through clinical research."

Kaiser enjoys spending time with her husband and their four young children.
