Robin Clayton, RN

Robin Clayton, RN, joined the Section of Colon & Rectal Surgery in 1997 where she works at the University Surgical Associates office. With over a decade of experience, Clayton acts as an advocate for patients. She shares the Section's dedication to treating the whole person.

For Clayton, nursing is all in the family. Following in the footsteps of her mother and aunts, she pursued a nursing career. Clayton is a 1992 graduate of the University of Louisville. She worked for five years in the cardiovascular surgery intensive care unit at Norton Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Clayton enjoys caring for patients with colorectal disease -- especially children. "We treat a lot of kids who suffer from inflammatory bowel disease. It's wonderful to see them achieve their goals despite their illness."

When Clayton isn't in the clinic, you can find her with her husband, Rob, and their three children, Morgen, Bryce, and Sydney. "Our children are our recreation!" she says.
