Research Associates

The Section of Colon & Rectal Surgery annually selects one outstanding research associate interested in gaining valuable hands-on laboratory and research experience.

Research associates become skilled in a variety of laboratory activities, including database maintenance, DNA extraction, cataloging of specimens, performing and cleaning PCR, preparation of reagents, and maintenance of the laboratory space.

The position offers a generous salary but requires a one-year commitment. Individuals, who have completed an undergraduate degree and who wish to wait a year before applying to a professional or graduate degree program, are invited to submit an application.
